Musicals & Plays
1956 Season

The 1956 Season was marked by a departure from previous years where most productions ran for one week. In 1956 just six shows were produced and ran for two, three, or four weeks. A usual season would have seen ten to twelve shows. Was this due to the Music Circus finally hitting peak attendance where there was an audience market large enough to sustain longer runs of shows?

Each year, the Music Circus' Public Relations Office would produce a "Season Program" at the beginning of each season, listing the shows and other attractions being offered for the whole season.
