In 1970 there were no Musicals or Plays produced or presented at the Music Circus, except for Ann Corio's "This Was Burlesque" revue.
What began as a revolution in summer musical theatre in 1949, ended as a Concert Venue. The times had changed, to say the least.
As in the previous few years, the mainstay of presentations was concerts. Thirty-six Pop, Rock, Jazz, and Orchestral single performance were presented.. That being said, they were mostly the headliners on the concert circuit that year; Ike and Tina Turner to BB King to Stan Kenton to Little Richard to Chicago, and The Four Seasons.
